Anne-Marie, congratulations on making it to the losing side. And congratulations on your promotion at work. God knew what he had in store for you all along all you had to do was to pray and believe. Best wishes to you and your daughter as you continue on your journey.

Well hello all,
Since my angelette hasn't posted in awhile (and believe me, I understand), I figured I would let you all in on a little secret.
She is looking really good. To top that off she doesn't stay still long. But that is to be expected since she has a little adorable 5 year old. Hi Riah :0).
The weight is coming off. I am not sure exactly how much she has lost so far, but the last time I saw her, I could tell. I am a bad angel because I didn't say anything, but then that was because we were involved in so many conversations that it was unreal. We would go from one right into another.
She had a small bout with being uncomfortable from food intake and one or two other things but that's not for me to tell. But all in all she is doing just fine. She will probably go back to work Monday, I am not sure, but I will be calling her sometime today while I am at work to find out for sure.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Angel gliding in with an update on Anne~Marie.
I just got off the phone with her and it seems that now she realizes that there is some real pain in her abdomen. I guess the drugs that they used in the operating room have worn off now.
She sends her love to you all as well as her thanks for the prayers and well wishes.
She kept asking me if she was going to feel better by the time she gets home? I laughed (not at her) and told her basically yes and no because each day you get better but sometimes it won't feel like it. But that a week or so of pain is nothing compared to a lifetime of happiness and being able to grow with her daughter.
I also stressed how important it was for her to utilize the morphine pump while she had it and to also inform the nurses if that medication wasn't working because they can't help her if she doesn't tell them. I also told her that it was extremely important to walk, use her breathing exerciser, and to cough. She told me it hurt to do all of those and I told her I know it hurts but you have to do it. She told me that she did get up and walk earlier today.
Her catheter will come out tomorrow and the morphine pump will probably leave tomorrow as well. She was having ice chips and some water today and later she will venture into broth and jello.
I asked her if she had any regrets right now and she hesitated before she answered and said I don't know with this pain and all. I think we all felt that way right after surgery. But as for me if I had to do it again I would jump on the operating table and yell scappel please!
Again overall she is doing fine and I am going to call her later on this evening. Oh she was sitting up when I called her. I would love to go back to the hospital but I have to get up at 2:30 in the morning to go to work and the drive is about 30~60 minutes one way now with the rush hour traffic. But she understands.

GOOD EVENING EVERYONE, JUST WANTED TO LET YOU ALL KNOW THAT ANNE MADE IT TO THE OTHER SIDE WITHOUT ANY MAJOR HITCHES.
SHE DID HOWEVER HAVE SOME EXTRA BLEEDING THAT THE DOCTOR WAS A BIT CONCERNED ABOUT BUT THE MATTER WAS TAKEN CARE OF AND SHE IS DOING FINE.
SHE SAID SHE BASICALLY HAD NO PAIN JUST THE SLIGHT DISCOMFORT OF FEELING FULL OR GASSY. THAT PROBABLY IS COMING FROM THE FACT THAT THEY HAD TO FILL HER INSIDES WITH THE GAS.
SHE WAS IN AND OUT OF SLEEP BUT OUT OF SLEEP ENOUGH TO KNOW WHEN SOMEONE CHANGED THE TV FROM HER SOAP OPERA (lol).
THIS DOCTOR SEEMS TO WORK DIFFERENTLY FROM MANY OF THE OTHERS THAT I HAVE READ ABOUT AS WELL AS MINE, MEANING HE DOESN'T ALLOW HIS PATIENTS TO GET UP AND WALK UNTIL THE NEXT DAY. HE KEEPS HIS PATIENTS IN ICU FOR 24 HOURS THEN THEY GO TO X-RAY AND IF HE CONNECTED EVERYTHING CORRECTLY, THEN ANNE WILL BE MOVED TO A ROOM WHERE SHE WILL BE GIVEN ICE CHIPS AND MAYBE SOME WATER THEN LATER SHE CAN HAVE BROTH AND JELLO. I WAS VERY SURPRISED WHEN I HEARD ALL THAT INFORMATION. BUT I DO KNOW THAT NOT ALL DOCTORS WORK THE SAME.
SHE WAS SO HAPPY THAT SHE MADE IT TO THE OTHER SIDE THAT SHE WAS CRYING. I TOLD HER THAT SHE WAS GOING TO BE ON THE OTHER SIDE WITH ME AND ALL OF YOU AND THAT EVERY THING WAS GOING TO BE JUST FINE.
