Hi Barbara, I read your post about c-pap masks. I use one that is called nose pillows. It is tubing that comes down over the ears and little nostril holes like the oxygen that hospitals give you but a little bigger tubing. Fits just up your nose. Since I sleep on my stomache this has been the best coice for me. I didnt and couldnt sleep with the normal masks. But this one is very comfortable. Good Luck Karen Wyatt

Barbara, Used to be you would have had to take off the nails and in fact could not even wear nail polish. This was to make your nail beds viewable. The nurses would check to see if you are getting a good oxygen exchange. If they were blue you could be having problems. Fortunately, now days they clip a sensore on the end of one of your fingers that tells them the same thing. You should check with your surgeon to make sure. But generally you are not required to remove the nails. Jeannie
