Mom came home from the Hopsital Friday the 22nd. She is feeling weak but much better.

Friday 2-15-02.... Mom started eating solid foods yesterday - she went to Phase II of her diet which allows things such as blended soup or grits. She felt fine that morniung but around 2pm she started getting extremely sick to her stomach and had sharp pains in her back...called the doctor and at 11pm she went to the ER. They have admitted her for dehydration and an inflamed pancreas. She is back on ICE only. The doctor said we will just have to wait for her "brain" and "stomach" to sync together. She still says "It was worth it!!"

Mom came home this afternoon and is feeling fine. Only complaint is she feels like her suture is pulling when she lays down...other than that she is ok.

NG tube is coming out this afternoon!!!!! Tomorrow morning she has been instructed to eat breakfast at the hospital then GO HOME !!! - She is doing really well and feeling pretty good.

Mom seems to be feeling a little better each day. As of this morning at 8am she has not been able to drink anything yet, but her NG tube may come out today and then she can have ice chips. She is feeling pretty good but had a bit of a scare yesterday afternoon. She was having terrible cramping in her chest and the hospital treats chest pain very seriously. They asked her if she was having a heartattack....of course she did not know because she has never had one. They ran tests and the doctor concluded it was reflux (maybe from the ng tube). She said it was a frightening experience but she is ok now. She is also up and walking wonderfully, she said the walking is causing no pain. The only pain she has had is the cramping in the chest.

7:45 am this morning I called mom, she was sleeping but she said she was feeling really well. The only pain she complained about last night was cramping in her stomach.
