Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).

Hello Elizabeth - First of all Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you!! : ) ...also big'em <b>Congratulations</b> are coming your way. Your second chance at life is only a few short days away!! My prayers and best wishes are with you as you take the first steps down the path to a healthier and thinner you. (I had my surgery 11 months ago and have since lost a 177 pounds, only 30 more to goal!!) Just remember your overall attitude plays a large role in your recovery, keep it POSITIVE and ask lots and lots of questions. I look forward to reading the "updates" to your profile as your journey progresses. Dont forget to walk, walk, WALK right after surgery, no matter how tired you are......AND get your protein and water in daily, lots and lots of both, your health depends on it. Know that you are not alone, there are MANY of us that will have you in our thoughts and prayers on your very special day. <i> "The key to happiness is dreams, the key to success is making those dreams come true"</i> .....Hugs and Smiles : )
