Wanted to share this with you Carla........ Poem for July Board, By Marina I am no poet, but just jotted down these words and wanted to pass them on to the July Board: I prayed for you in your time of need That in your life God would lead. I prayed that angels will securely hover And speed your health to a full recover. I ask God to guide your surgeon’s hand, To give him skills beyond the man. To give you strength for health and life, To make you well as you face the knife. May you WALK away those awful pounds, That brings you misery and makes you round. You will succeed as your body heals, Eventually progressing to healthy meals. Be very kind to that brand new POUCH, By resting often on the couch. Treat it kindly as you choose your food, And only eat what you know is good. Remember to SIP all through the day, To keep hydrated while you play. A different life lays ahead for you, One filled with wonder at what you can do. Protein first is the key to great health, Your newfound life is your greatest wealth. Put your MO days behind you now, The future will be a new you - WOW. This is Marina's support page. If you like the Poem let her know. And wish her all the best for her surgery is tomorrow. http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/profile.phtml?N=S1083796259

Carla, Prayers and warm thoughts for you and your surgical team on Monday. It was nice chatting with you, and now you have a Yankee pal in Minnesota who can't wait to hear how things go :) Peace be with you ( I am not a minister or anything I just LOVE to say that)

Carla, I am sending prayers and best wishes for your surgery. I know that you will soar into your new life. “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31 Best Wishes Robin Lap Surgery Date 08-09-04

Hi Carla! Congratulations on your decision. I wish for you an easy, uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery. I just had lap band surgery on Friday. My consultation was in Chattanooga and surgery in Dalton. I'm home in Knoxville now, and am feeling great. Yay for both of us for improving our lives!!! I'll be thinking about you!!! Your friend, Laura

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery and beginning you new life on the losing side. Right now you are probably riding a rollercoaster of emotions - excited, nervous, scared.... Take time over the next few days to center yourself, keep your mind on other things rather than on surgery, and keep yourself busy. You will find that your big day will be here in no time and you will be emotionally prepared and calm for your big adventure. Good luck and welcome to your new life.
