Hi John, I'd say don't be nervous but, heck, I was nervous. Of course it was all for nothing (except I burned a few extra calories), because everything about my surgery was fine. I think the week before surgery was harder than the week after (for me anyway). Keep it positive; that means only keeping positive people around you. Be proud of your decision and I hope all your health and weight-loss dreams come true. All the best,

John, Congratulations and best wishes for a smooth and speedy recovery! Don't forget to take a pillow and/or a Bari Buddy (available at the OH.com store) with you to the hospital, you won't be sorry that you did! You need the pillow for all kinds of comforts from coughing to side support and frankly sometimes the hospital pillows just aren't really great. Also, you might inquire with the hospital about whether a fan will be available to you, if not and permitted, take one with you. The combination of the narcotics and the leg cuffs they use to prevent clots makes many people very very hot! bright blessings to you in this part of the journey and much success too!~Caroline O.--
