Hi Lauren!!! And welcome to the wonderful world of WLS!!! Congratulations on your bravery. I had Dr. Baggs assist when Dr. Meyerwitz performed my surgery almost 11 months ago. What a doll! Anyway, 11 months ago, I was a size 24 and I sit here today as a size 10!! Hang in there...it really will go fast. Stay away from sugar and those gassy things and you'll be home free!!! THANKS EVERYONE FOR THIER PRAYERS. SURGERY ON THURSDAY , I WAS BACK HOME ON SATURDAY. I HAVE NO PAIN WHAT SO EVER, JUST A LITTLE SORENESS. I HOPE RECOVERY FOR EVERYONE ELSE WILL BE AS PAINLESS AS MINE, ALL GLORY TO DR. AARON BAGGS.

Hi Lauren! I had my surgery 7/30/01 in Burlingame, and I had it done lapriscopically, I weighed 297 when I went in. The process was almost painless......I hurt when I first woke up from surgery and then they put me under and when I woke up I was in my hospital room hooked up to a machine with no more pain....... my hospital stay was 3 nights, I got up and walked the first night, and did real well, I was up and around the last day in the hospital........you'll be fine. If I had it to do over again I would'nt change a thing! Good luck to you and your doing the right thing......Ohh by the way I'm 4 weeks post-op and I've lost 30lbs
