Hey All, Just got off the phone with Egypt and she is doing well. She sounds so strong. Guess I was like that at 25...but I digress (wink). She has been out walking the halls twice today. Her Leak Test came out fine. She still has some swelling at the connection so they haven't started giving her water or other liquids yet. Just giving her ice chips right now.(well, I guess that qualifies as water...lol) The surgeon wanted to wait one more day before giving her other stuff...to give a little more time to let the swelling go down. She was taken off the Mophine today because it gave her a headache. The medication they switched her too is now making her itch. So, they will probably change it again. Otherwise she is doing wonderfully. I'll keep ya updated.

Egypt, congratulations on making a safe journey to the losing side. Get plenty of rest now and take good care of yourself and your new pouch! Don't forget to take time to celebrate your every victory. I look forward to watching your progress!

Bumpppppp, Thuddddddddd, (halo crooked, wings bent)...First time Angel coming in for a landing....hope that landing gets easier (smile) Just got off the phone with Egypt's Mom and Egypt came through surgery with flying colors. She's now in recovery. Per her Mom, the surgeon said he had anticipated her surgery going 6 hrs (lap) however, Egypt did so well it only took three hours. Not only that, he decided things went so well that she doesn't have to go to ICU for the first day as he thought. She is going straight to a regular room when she leaves recovery. Her Mom is going to call me later this evening when Egypt is somewhat alert and let me know how she progressing. As I get updates I will let you all know. Let's welcome Egypt to the "losing" side!

Egypt, Just wanted to wish you the best of luck with your surgery. May it be uneventful and your recovery speedy. Just think, it really is going to be a whole "new" year. A happy, healthier, thinner one at that! Happy Holidays :o)
