Congratulations on hitting the 100 mark! In less than 6 months? I am so hopeful that my surgery in July will yield similar results. Good luck and God Bless.

Karen--I understand your fears about not getting enough food in and your body turning to itself and eating away at your organs. I thought the same thing myself when I was at the stage you are. I had to force myself to eat, or I wouldn't have eaten anything. And as far as supplements go, I was on the Carnation for about 2 weeks and then no more. Couldn't stand the stuff. So..I have two comments. One...how about drinking some milk? I know people have different concerns about milk, but my nutritionist said it was good protein and I've lost 141 pounds in 6 months mainly with milk as my staple. A glass has 16 grams of protein. By now, at 6 months, I'm still drinking one or two glasses a day plus food. Second thing...it's normal to not be eating that much this early on. I think I was getting around 20 grams of protein a day the second and third months. I don't know if that slowed down my loss, although that is something to consider. However, your body will not be hurt by this temporary lack in protein. You can go a couple months...your body will not eat away at it self. That's more a long term effect. Just keep trying to do what you can, and in a few months it will get better! I think I actually started eating 3 small meals at about 4 and 1/2 months! Best of luck!
