Mary, Good luck on your surgery. I had mine on 10/21 which is less than two weeks ago and I am feeling very good. I think the protein is the key to the good recovery so make sure you have a good source of protein. I use Real Meals. Most of those I have been in contact with and are having a slow healing time don't seem to be concentrating on getting in that protein. It is very important - give it your best shot. 60 g a day. Time goes so fast afterwards, you will be up and around before you know it. Good luck on this wonderful journey you have choosen. Kathy
