Rena is doing good. She is suffering from spasms in her back. But she does not have any pain from her incision. Swelling has gone down some.

Rena came home from the hospital on Monday, Dec 11. She is doing well. She has a lot of swelling do to the fluid.( We all know about that!!!!)

Rena is still in the hospital. She has run a fever up until Sunday due to a UTI. The doctor is now trying to get her coumadin level to where it needs to be. She is not having pain from her incision but is having muscle spasms in her stomach. She does not have a lot of energy to talk.

Yesterday Rena was taken off of her morphine IV because she needed to get back on her blood thinners. Because she has to have the heparin through her IV, no other meds can go through that IV. She is now getting her morphine IM. She was in a lot of pain. It takes the morphine longer to work IM. They gave her valium for the pain in her stomach and that made her very sleepy. She could not keep her eyes open. Me and the family did not stay very long yesterday evening. My mother has been staying with her all day and nihgt in the hospital. My mother did the same for me when I had my surgery. My mother is the BEST!!!!!!!!! She takes such good care of us.

Hello everyone. This is Rena's sister Leslie. Rena had surgery yesterday and is doing well. Rena's surgery lasted over five hours and she had some bleeding, but did not have to receive any blood at this time. Surgery was over some time after 5pm and we did not get to see her until after 7:30pm. She was talking and she looked good. She had some discomfort, but had her morphine pump.
