Way to go, Wendy!! I'm SO happy the surgery went well and you are getting better! Since I will have the same surgeon, Dr. Black, I'm anxious to hear all about everything when you feel like getting on your e-mail again. In the meantime, know that I'm thinking of you and prayint that this is just the beginning of a wonderful change in your life.

Wendy got to go home yesterday. I talked to her a couple of times last night and she is feeling really good. Not even having to take any pain meds........one tough cookie! She said she still gets tired pretty quickly as expected but is feeling really well. I know she's glad to be home in her own bed! WAY TO GO, WENDY!

Just stopped and saw Wendy on my way home from work. She looks GREAT! Has been up walking like a good patient. Her leak test this morning was negative and she said the only way she kept down that nasty stuff they make us drink is to think about how they would let her have something good to drink when the test was negative! She said the apple juice they brought her was the best tasting stuff she'd ever had. Her spirits were high and she should get to go home tomorrow. WAY TO GO, WENDY!

I just talked to Wendy on the phone. She is doing fine. She was more nervous about the anesthesia than anything since she had NEVER had surgery before. She is having some pain, as expected, but had been up walking in the halls already and sitting up on the edge of the bed. Told her to tell them to bring her the wooden rocking chair they have on that floor.........I spent A LOT of time in it post op! But she is doing GREAT!

Hey everyone! Wendy had her RNY today and so far she is doing fine. I spoke with her mom who said that she was out of recovery and was sleeping! Please wish her good luck on her recovery and pray that she gets home soon. I'm traveling from SC to AL on Friday to see her! Robin
