LAURA--I received your message last night--sorry I wasn't home when you called. First, let me apologize for not having already called you--I really intended to call you within a few days after you went home from the hospital. Lately life has dealt me some rather strange and unexpected twists and turns and I have been very pre-occupied with what has been going on. I was sorry to hear that you have had some complications and I hope that everything is going well for you now and that you are well on your way on the road to recovery. Keep me posted on how you are doing and on your weight loss and let me know if there is anything I can do for you. I will call you back sometime this weekend so we can talk. Your WLS friend--Diane Harris

LAURA--Congratulations and welcome to the LOSING side!! I really hope that everything went well for you during surgery and your entire hospital stay. I pray that your recovery is going very well and that you are up and around. Remember to take things very slowly and don't rush your recovery. I will try to call you in a few days to see how you are--I wanted to wait a week or so to give you time to get back home and settled it. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Please post me a message if you feel like it!! Your WLS friend--Diane Harris

Laura, Congratulations on your surgery today! I wish you well on your journey to weight loss! Please keep everyone posted on how you're recovering. My surgery is scheduled for 10/25/01 and I'm very anxious! The best thing is knowing that we will always have ongoing support from all of our other WLS buddies. May God be with you!

You are in my thoughts and prayers and I really hope that everything goes well and that your surgery and recovery will be uncomplicated and easy. Please post as soon as you can and let everyone know how you are doing and I will try to call you sometime next week after you have had time to get home and are well on your way to recovery. LAURA--Thank you for trying to contact me--I am really sorry that you have not been able to get through. My e-mail address is not valid at this time. I am using the computers at the library and when I get moved after Christmas I will be getting one installed at home, at which time I will set up a valid e-mail account. Anyway, I have just been super busy lately and I probably just missed your phone call. There were a couple of calls on my caller ID but I just didn't recognize the names and I didn't know who it was. Please feel free to call me back--I would really love to hear from you before you have your surgery. If I happen not to be home just leave a message and I will return your call. Again, congratulations and best of luck on your upcoming surgery. You will never regret it!!! Diane Harris

Laura, best wishes for your upcoming surgery. I had mine last November, and I have never had a single regret. One thing that may help to remember is that the nervousness is over with when you wake up in the recovery room to your new life.
