Hi Joy, I'd say don't be nervous, but heck, I was! Of course it was all for nothing (except I probably burned a few more calories) because my surgery went fine. I always say the week before surgery was harder than the week after (it was for me anyway). Keep it positive and and that includes having ONLY supportive people around you. You've made a wonderful and couragous decision to improve your health (of course in retrospect it seems like a "no brainer" to me now). Be proud of yourself; take care of yourself and I hope all your health and weight-loss dreams come true......

Congrats Joy on your surgery date! Just remember to walk walk walk. Your are going to be so tight from your surgery that the only thing that feels better is to walk. The nurses are really the best at Maryvale. I had my surgery 10 days ago and I feel awesome! The only pain I really feel is my incision pain. Good Luck and if you need anything let me know.
