HEY ALL - IT'S ME, KEM. Went to see mom. She looks good and she's feisty :) She was smiling and laughing when i cracked a joke - and was a little tired of waiting to get in a room (only 7 hours). But the doctors say that it appears to NOT have been a heart attack. They said that they're going to keep her hooked up to I.V.s and they'll admit her for overnight observation.....and perform a stress test tomorrow - the thing with the treadmill and wires hanging all over you. Dad's worried, but he worries anyway. Her spirits are good and that's half the battle. I'll post more tomorrow - and thank you all for your kind words and posts... :) *hugz* --Kem

HEY FOLKS - OKAY - EMERGENCY ANGEL CALL FOR ALL THOSE OF YOU WHO BELIEVE......<BR> <br> As most of you may know, Jacki Lamphire (Jacqueline Lamphire) is my mother. She and I were talking yesterday, and she was telling me how she's been having severe headaches, etc. She said she'd never had headaches like this before. I told her she should talk to her doctor about it. She said she would - she had an appointment for today. <br> <br> Mom has had a pace maker for years due to a heart blockage - apparently, with or without WLS, she would need to keep this device because it's a deformity - a problem not associated with weight - just a problem with her heart. Anyway, she's was complaining of chest pains while in the doctor's office, so they immediately called the hospital and are having her moved to Southside Regional Medical Center (PLEASE...all you wonderful people, do NOT call - I will post updates....but she needs rest and the doctor will be performing tests.) As of yet, they will be running an EKG, and possibly more tests to see what's going on. <br> <br> This is my MOM, guys... and what's more... She's my FRIEND - so please, say a little prayer for her. She's scared, i'm sure... I'm scared, I know. My dad is probably in a panic as he's had a very close friend diagnosed with cancer, a dear friend from church is IN the hospital with major problems, and HE, himself, is not in the greatest of health...... GET THE PRAYER CHAIN GOING, ANGELS - WE NEED YA!! Thanks so much! --Kem

I couldn't have worded the "attention" issue better. You sound just like my mom. Kim's lucky to have you, and your support. Congrats on all you weight loss success too. Made me laugh seeing the note, embarrassing to do (rear side photo), I have the same one, but have yet to post them. Thanks for you posts.
