Melissa ~ I read the article in Rosie's magazine about all you've been through. I read your whole profile and my God, what pain you've been through. I just pray that the latest stretching of the stoma has helped with the nausia and you're getting better. I will pray for you and don't give up on God ~ He will see you through! God Bless! †

Melissa, I found your profile by accident and then realized that you were the person in the Rosie magazine. I'm so sorry that you have felt so poorly and now after reading your profile that you are feeling alone. I hope that the surgery for a stricture helped(helps) and that you can get your life back the way you want it. God speed to you, and a gentle hug. Joanie

Melissa, I have read your profile and I am very sorry to hear of your troubles. Please hang in there. You have not posted in a while and I, as well as others I am sure, would really like to know how you have been doing. There are a lot of people who care on this site, even if we have never met. I think this surgery creates a kind of a bond that all of us who post here can relate to. Please post and let us know how you are. If you need someone to listen to you please feel free to e-mail me and maybe we can enter a chat room or just exchange e-mails. Take care of yourself.

Melissa, Sorry to hear about your depression and all. I have went through 7 dialations now and still feel the pain sometimes when I eat. My last dialation was Oct. 10th. I feel worse for a week or two after a dialation then it gets better for while. I am due back in January, or sooner if needed for a dialation. Email me if you want, we can talk. P.S.- The prevacid does help if taken very 1st thing in a.m. and take Reglan before eating.

Hi Melissa. I've been following your story for a while and I was just wondering if you've been able to get some help?

Melissa I feel so bad for you. Did you try the reliefband watch that I suggested in my email. I know it is not going to "cure" you but it is supposed to block the nausea messages between stomach and brain. I used it in the hospital after my surgery and it really worked. Maybe it can give you some temporary relief. Please try it, anything is worth trying. I understand why you are so depressed, who wouldnt be. Try to hang in there. Isnt there another surgeon you could try to see that might be able to find a solution. Dont give up, try every avenue. My thoughts are with you.

Melissa, I am completely speechless!! First of all, I am sooooo sorry for what you have been going through. I went through problems for a few months with the doc and dietician having no answers, I could not imagine going through what you have!! Secondly, I will say a prayer for you tonight. That is all I can offer. How much is a reversal? Can you ask your ins. co. what critia is needed to get one? Maybe you can check other surgeons on this website and email them with your problem. Maybe someone has an answer.
