UPDATE: I SPOKE WITH DEB TODAY. HER SURGERY WENT WONDERFULLY. IT LASTED ABOUT 2.5 HOURS AND THE DOCTORS SAID HER INSIDES LOOKED GREAT. SHE WAS READY TO GET UP AND START WALKING AROUND BEFORE THE NURSES WOULD ALLOW HER TO. THEY ARE MAKING HER WAIT!! SHE FEELS GREAT, A LITTLE DISCOMFORT, BUT NO PAIN. WOO HOO DEB! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Now the time has come for your surgery, and I know you are nervous. Just keep in mind, there are alot of people out here praying for you. Although most of us don't know one another in person, there is alot of support here on this site, and I wish you the very best. Good Luck and God Bless. I wish you a speedy recovery, and a great deal of weight loss. :)

Deborah, I live probably not too far from you in Woodland Hills, just off of Valley Circle. I am currently waiting for a surgery date for a lap RNY by Dr. Powell, Dr. Lourie's partner. I hope your operation goes smoothly and your results are what you wish for. If you need any help from a neighbor, give me a call at 888-7735. Good Luck!! Rik

Good luck on your coming surgery. My prayers are with you, and hoping for an uneventful surgery, and a speedy, painfree recovery. Keep your focus on healing. Make sure you walk, and keep up your breathing exercise. YOU CAN DO THIS! See you on the other side.
