Hi Chris! Wow, sound like you had some problems there...but it seems you got over them--good for you. Gaining weight (instead of losing weight) after the surgery sounds like a nightmare I might have myself...LOL.

Cris, Good luck to you with your surgery! You are in excellent hands at BTC. I had surgery 11 weeks ago, too. Dr. Berkowitz did my surgery but I have heard nothing but good things about your doctor! I now feel like I never had surgery except I can't eat very much! I am still amazed. I have a normal appetite but no matter how hungry I am, my eyes are always bigger than my stomach. It is great. I wish you good health and good luck with your recovery. Just follow BTC's plan (yes, it is a little tough, but you can do it) and you will do great. Take care, A WLS friend,

Cris, Dr. Schlesinger is a very competent surgeon he did a fantastic job on me. I am 11 weeks out and 53# lighter. Don't let his manner disturb you he is an expert surgeon. I have a thin red line for a scar and have been able to eat just about anything..... Yes the first six weeks are hard with the liquid diet but you will get past all that and move into a healthier lifestyle. Making that first phone call to BTC was the best thing I have ever done. If you have tried all other options at losing weight this could be the tool you need to succeed. Good Luck with your decision

Just a note to connect with all WLS sisters who have the same surgery date as myself. May all our surgeons have steady hands and happy clear thoughts on 8/8/01. Will be saying prayers and thanking God. Keep me in your thoughts as you will be in mine. Its really good to know others will be going through same. GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS !!!!!!!
