Laurie, I can't believe I forgot to send you a happy re-birthday message! And here we had our surgery on the same day! Its all a big blur. *laugh* Anyhow...happy re-birthday, a little late! I hope you are as happy with your surgery as I am with mine. I feel so great but I can't believe a whole year has gone by already! May this next year be our best ever!

ANGEL REPORT - I saw LAURIE today - and she looked MARVELOUS! I was there about 12:30pm CT and she said she had already been on 4 or 5 walks throughout the night. She was pretty thirsty, but drinking about 2 tsp every 30 min. She claimed that water never tasted so good. My sister and I took another stroll around the hospital with her and her IV cart. She was moving pretty good. I couldn't get over how healthy and happy she looked! We had a really great visit. Thanks for keeping her in your prayers.

Hi! I spoke to Laurie about 5:45 CT. She had only been awake about 45 minutes, but she sounded great! Her surgery only took 2 to 2 1/2 hrs, but she was in recovery for 3 hours. I guess they didn't have a room for her, but now she's all set up with her demerol pump and the lovely inflatable leggings that keep blood clots from forming. The doctor wants her up and walking this evening. I'll actually get to see her tomorrow, so I will post more then.

Hey everyone! I just spoke to David, Laurie's Hubby, and she just got out of surgery and is in recovery. The doctor said everything went well. David will be able to see her in about 45 minutes. She's not in a room yet. I'll call back later today to see how she's doing.

Hey Laurie! Wow, girl, we are only two days away from our surgery. I'll be thinking about you tomorrow as we hit our pre-ops at nearly the same time. I didn't ask you what time your surgery was going to be but mine is at noon, though everyone says that Dr. V is always late! Anyways, good luck, and I'll see you on the *other* side! Lots of love and good wishes, Kyla
