Diane, thank you for the letter to family members that are not supportive. The good Lord above sent me to your profile. I am scheduled for my surgery in 9 days. There are very few people that I have shared this fact with. However, last night I decided I should call my brother who I love and admire very much to tell him that I would be having surgery. Much to my surprise, he was not supportive and very disappointed in me. To say the least, I was shocked and very hurt. The few people that I have told have all been very supportive. I could not understand why he so strongly disapproved. While surfing the profiles, which I tend to do alot these past few months, I was viewing before and after pictures in excitement and anticipation of my journey ahead, but also with a heavy heart in knowing how my brother feels. By accident, I double clicked on your profile and saw the the note about the letter to the family members who are not supportive. In an instant, I knew that God was letting me know that I am truly doing the right thing for me. Thank you so much for your letter. Also, let me say thank you to God for giving me this second chance at a better life.

ANGEL UPDATE: Diane Bailey had to be re-admitted to the hospital yesterday because of an infection draining from her wound. The surgeon had to open her back up this morning to find out what was going on, but fortunately all her internal organs are doing fine. It was just the wound that was infected. I spoke with Diane tonight on the phone and she sounds much better than she did last night (before surgery). Thank God for taking care of Diane!

I saw Diane at the hospital tonight. She is doing much better today. The reason she had to go back to surgery two days ago was because her hernia broke open while she was in recovery from her WLS. Thank God, she is doing quite well now. She'll be having her leak test tomorrow so hopefully she will be able to begin taking in liquids. God bless you, Diane!

Diane's surgery was yesterday. It was a very long and difficult day. She was in surgery from 8 am until about 2:30 pm. Then while in recovery she developed complications (at this point in time I don't know what the complications were) and had to be taken back to surgery where she spent another 2 or 3 hours being operated on again. She then went back to recovery and finally was brought to her room at about 8:30 p.m. <p> I called the hospital and spoke with her daughter this morning and Diane is resting and is not currently up to having visitors or phone calls. Please pray that Diane will now recovery without further complications and that her health will soon return. God bless you and keep you safe, Diane.

Dear Diane, Well, tomorrow is your BIG DAY! I stand with you in prayer that God will be in full control of every facet of your operation tomorrow, that He will guide Dr. Oakley's hands, the hands of all the staff who will care for you, and that everything will go according to God's will. I pray that your recovery will be short and have no complications. God bless you, Girl.
