Howdi AMOS. Well, I talked to Kim early this morning and she was planning on leaving for home today. But as we know, some things don't go as planned, I checked back this afternoon to make sure she had checked out and lo' and behold she was still there.. ut oh! Well, the Dr. still isn't happy with her blood count(s) and the did a CAT scan of the area where her spleen used to be. Kimberly sounded REALLY good, and in good spirits - as she said "Better safe, than sorry!" ~~~ GO KIMBERLY! You're making me so proud ~~~ Please keep Kim in your prayers and drop her a note on her surgery page, for her blood count(s) to return to normal and her recovery to move forward so she can get home and start her NEW life!! I know she'll really appreciate the love and support!!!! Thanks AMOS. God Bless

~~ Kimberly update ~~ G'morning : ) Well, I talked to Kim just a lil bit ago and she sounds wonderful!! They have decided to have her stay an extra day in the hospital just to keep an eye on her a little longer. They've given her blood a couple of times, due to the adhesions to her spleen, it rupturing and being removed during surgery. Doc isn't happy with her blood count(s) right now but I don't think they anticipate giving any more blood or Kim having any other problems, just take an extra day to keep things in check -- especially since she has such a long trip home! Kim sounded like she was in good spirits and I know she really appreciates all of your messages, thoughts and prayers -- Thanks!!!

~~~ Kimberly UPDATE ~~~ Well, I've checked in with Bruce and Kim by phone the last couple days to see how she was doing .. I kinda thought she might want a day or 2 to herself and family so I waited to go up to visit .. she seemed to be on less of the HAPPY DRUGS yesterday and said she was sore but didn't regret having surgery. I talked to her earlier today and she sounded wonderful!! GO KIMBERLY!!!! I was going to go up and visit around 3pm but my little 20 minute cat-nap turned into a 2hr snoozefest .. BAD ANGEL! : ( Sorry Kim. My hubby and I stopped up tonight but she was sleeping after doing plenty of walking, according to the nurses. I'm gonna swing by tomorrow late morning or early afternoon and will try to update when I get back. Thanks much for all your support and please keep those prayers, well wishes and love coming for Kimberly's new re-birthday!!

Howdi AMOS'rs. Just a quick update on Kim -- I called up to the hospital to see how she was doing and the nurses station actually put me through to her room. At 1st Bruce said she was sleeping but that she was doing well and that they had her up and walking, doing all the stuff she should be!! Go Kimberly!! Next thing I know she was awake and wanted to talk to me (awwww, how sweet!) Lemme tell ya, Kim has some HAPPPPPPY DRUGS! Haha! She said she was pretty tired but other than that, she sounded pretty darn good - Praise God! I'll update more in the next couple days.. I'm gonna go visit tomorrow. Thank all of you SO, SO MUCH for all your prayers, best wishes and warm messages!!
