Wow, after reading Sandie's posts I see alot of us are beginning a "new" life on May 7. I also now realize how lucky I am to have been approved so quickly by my insurance. My info was sent in and denied within a day, however my exercise and diet attempts were not included. As soon as I faxed it to my managed care caseworker she literally walked it over to the MD that approves for medical necessity and he signed it immediately! She called soon after to let me know it was approved. When I called my dr office to set the date, the nurse said she was just gathering info for an appeal. I told her I had appealed on my own behalf and it was approved. I can thank my lucky stars for working in the health care industry, and having plenty of insurance experience also. Good luck Sandie, and to the rest of us starting over on May 7th. My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you!! Keep in touch.
