Finaly got a chance to meet Karen when I went in to do pre-admit paperwork. She's been having some problem with Nausea when getting up. Could be that little boost of pain med she's been taking. They had just given her a shot for the nausea & were preparing to get her up when I was there. Hopefully hse will be doing better & getting out soon.

Talked with Karen this evening, her surgery got pushed back a couple of hours due to an emergency surgery. She's having some pain & the usual dry mouth but relieved her surgery is over so she can start her NEW healthy life. Congratulations Karen.

Congrats on your upcoming surgery date. I pray that you have a uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery with no complications. I am now 2 weeks post op and I feel great both physically and mentally. Don't be scared, just remember God is with you and he will keep you safe from harm. This is a prayer that I repeated time and time again until I was out. PRAYER BEFORE SURGERY Loving Father, I entrust myself to your care this day; guide with wisdom and skill the minds and hands of the surgeon and his assistants whom minister in you Name, and grant that every cause of illness be romoved, I may be restored to soundness of health and learn to live in more perfect harmony with you and those around me. Into your hands I commend my body and soul. Through Jesus Christ. AMEN.

Karen, I am so profoundly touched by your story... and you have never given up. It is so sad to have lost a grandchild to sids, as I did too. But somehow we find the strength to go on. And what strength you have found. WLS, and I swear you don't look a day over 40. You lucky devil! lol. Love, peace and happiness to you and yours and wishes for the safest, most painless surgery ever. Lose that weight and get going even further! Hugs and love and hugs and love, Melody Hayes
